About Balloon Atlanta

1982 was the year I got hooked on Hot Air Balloons. I took my first Hot Air Balloon Ride for $300.00, the second Balloon Ride cost me $30,000.00, and I still feel like a kid every time I stand the balloon up with the burner.
I then began working for a balloon manufacturer, learning to cut, sew, weave, and stuff (into a bag), then with a corporate contract nationwide as Crew then, as a Pilot. In 1988 I started Atlanta Aerosports flying corporate balloons and taking passengers for rides. Watching the thrill, wonder, excitement, and fascination on passengers faces still electrifies me and puts me in high spirits ready to make every adventure the best possible experience for everyone I introduce to enchantment of lighter than air flight. In 1998 became a dealer for Lindstrand Balloons the best balloon built in my opinion. I (and all our Pilots) attend safety seminars and/or manufacturer’s maintenance seminars yearly to keep up with the latest technology and refreshing safe Pilot decision making skills. I absolutely Love to fly! It is second nature to me to be in the air. I have over 2400 hours in Hot Air Balloons, more than 200 in Gas Balloons, 500+ in Airplanes, 80+ parachute jumps, and looking forward to Soaring in 2011.
